More Powerful Than . . . Ever (washingtonpost.com)
The Washington Post runs an interesting piece on the proliferation of super hero movies. Are they taking over... or is the glut indicative of the end of yet another trend? As a closet comics geek for many years, I am glad that there seems to be a bit more cultural acceptance of the genre.

I absolutely agree. Of course, Hollywood tends to run in trends, so we may see this one fade out for a while - but as long as comic book movies have the occasional monster success (the Spider-Man movies, for example, have brought in $1.6 billion worldwide), I suspect the film industry will keep trying to tap into that vein. Even if the occasional "Catwoman" muddies the waters.
